Our Mission

Believe. Belong, Serve, Go.

To say that we believe is to assert that we believe in and follow Jesus as our Lord (Cf. John 1; 8), God’s Word as our final rule for faith and practice (Cf. John 8; 14; 2 Tim. 3) and the historic beliefs of the Christian Church handed down to us by our forefathers in the faith (1 Cor. 11; 1 Pet. 1). To say that we belong is to proclaim that we have become a part of the children of God as laid out in Scripture (John 1) and seek to live within that reality as a local family of God (Rom. 15; 1 Cor. 12). To say that we serve is to declare that we serve our Lord and His children best through being a family of disciples that make disciples by serving our Lord and one another with our time and efforts within the body (Matt. 28). To say that we go is to affirm our commitment to the Lord’s command to go out into the world to reach those far from God and bring them into discipleship (Matt. 28; Mark 16; Acts 2).

We Believe
To say that we believe is to assert several biblical concepts that are essential to the Church and the life of the Christian. We believe in and follow Jesus as our Lord (Cf. John 1; 8), God’s Word as our final rule for faith and practice (Cf. John 8; 14; 2 Tim. 3) and the historic beliefs of the Christian Church handed down to us by our forefathers in the faith (1 Cor. 11; 1 Pet. 1). We believe Jesus paid the price for our sins through his death on the cross. We believe that He raised from the dead and now reigns with the Father. We believe that all are welcome to become children of God through trust in the totality of who Jesus is, regardless of their ethnicity, ancestry, geography, or sinful past. We believe that those who put their faith in Christ have been given a new identity and are born from above. Belief is the first step that one takes in becoming a true disciple of Jesus and a member of the family of God, the Church.

We Belong
To say that we belong is to proclaim that we have already come to belief and have now become a part of the Church, past, present, and future. In other words, we have become a part of the children of God as laid out in Scripture (John 1) and seek to live within that reality as a local family of God (Rom. 15; 1 Cor. 12). This means that we belong to one another as family members through the eternal bond provided in and through Jesus. We are brothers and sisters within an eternal family.

We Serve
To say that we serve is to declare that as true disciples we seek to serve our Lord in all that we do. We serve our Lord and His children best through being a family of disciples that make disciples by serving our Lord and one another with our time and efforts within the body (Matt. 28). We are servants to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Our service to our Lord also prompts us to obey Him by serving our church and our brothers and sisters. To serve indicates that we take our discipleship seriously in our words and deeds. Service is the action of a true disciple of Jesus.

We Go
To say we go is to announce that we affirm our commitment to the Lord’s command to go out into the world to reach those far from God and bring them into discipleship (Matt. 28; Mark 16; Acts 2). We are a church that seeks to be disciples that make disciples. This means that we are passionate and intentional about witnessing to those that are not currently part of God’s family. We are also deliberate in promoting an atmosphere of discipleship where members seek to disciple others in their walk with Christ once they do believe and belong. Although going is part of our service to our Lord, it moves beyond roles that one may have within the family or actions that one may perform within the church. To go is to be a witness of Jesus in a world that desperately needs an encounter with Him. To go is to fulfill the mission that Jesus gave His people.
